Off to to Macau!

A journey to watch a really AWESOME SHOW!!

While on a trip to perform for a show in Shenzhen, I popped by Macau to the catch the show I've always wanted to watch so badly... "The House of Dancing Water"!

I brought my Dad with me, he had worked so very hard all throughout his life, just so his baby(me) could have a bright future... He has taught his son well ;-)

Flight to Hong Kong!

A few photos later...

I'm HERE!! At "City of Dreams"Macau!

Huge "water tank" with mermaids!

Our hotel!

Nice view from our room! On the left, Venetian!

And of course, the main reason I'm here in the first place..

水舞间!

And the second reason...

Dragon's Treasure!!

Dragon's Treasure is a really AWESOME show! It's hard to describe it in words so here's a video!

But the video doesn't do justice to how awesome the experience is! You have to watch it live!

"The House of Dancing Water" deserves a blog post by itself so I won't go into details! Catch it my next post!

As for now, the rest of Macau!

The majestic Venetian!

Galaxy Casino!

Night view of the Crown Hotel from my room! In case you didn't know my obsession with LEDs... I can't stop staring at all the colorful running lights! >.<

After all the fun, back to Hong Kong to catch my flight back home!

First-Class ferry tickets from Macau to Hong Kong!

To be continued...

Designing effects for iTheatre's "Sing to the Dawn"

Designing effects for iTheatre's "Sing to the Dawn"

This is the latest production by iTheatre. "Sing to the Dawn" will be running till 19th March at Drama Centre, National Library. Find out more about the show at iTheatre's website!

Some amazing scenes taken from rehearsals.

It's great to be working with iTheatre again. I've been working with iTheatre in many of their productions and my last production of "WAAH Magic" was part of iTheatre's ACE festival. The last show which I was involved in was "The Elves and the Shoemaker"re-written by Brian Seward. (I will do a blog post on that show soon!)

I had the honor to work with Brian in so many of his projects. Brian is such an inspiration! His passion and creativity never fail to amaze me.

The beautiful set designed by Yu Hsien!

Some behind the scene photos!

Great job by the incredible cast of Sing to the Dawn!

Don't miss this amazing production! Tickets are almost sold out, so hurry!

Watched "Cooling Off Day" by Wildrice

I was invited to the gala night of Wildrice's "Cooling off day"

I invited Daisy as my date for the night!

"Cooling off day",  is a collection of real testimonials from citizens on the subject of the election day and the views on the political parties. Presented in a fun and dramatic way. This is the second season of the show, the first run was part of a festival.

Written by the amazingly talented Alfian Sa'at

I had the honor to work with Wildrice on many productions, namely the annual pantomimes. See my post on Cinderel-lah, and few month back Aladdin! (Yet to blog about it)
It's always great to see the guys at work. Wildrice is made up of really hardworking, passionate and creative people!

Post-show reception...

"Cooling Off Day" is now showing at the SOTA theatre till 11th March, catch it

Thank you everybody at Wildrice!

With love,
  - Kiki Tay
